We have some amazing news here at Willow Vets!! Following the first ever online courses in 'Speaking Dog' and 'Speaking Cat', several team members are now fluent in Labrador, Border Collie, German Shepherd and Moggy!! If you own any of these breeds, you can now make a phone appointment and let your animal do the talking! Other more exotic breeds, such as the Siamese cat and Old English Sheepdog, have more complicated languages to learn so bear with us, but hopefully we'll be fluent in all languages very soon!! 😉😉😉

❌Xylitol❌

In February 2023, we took 66 calls relating to xylitol, and some of these cases were life-threatening. This is our highest monthly call volume regarding xylitol in over 6 years.

It is important to stress that a small quantity of xylitol can cause significant complications in dogs. Additionally, it is not only chewing gum that contains xylitol - other products and food items can also pose a risk and should be kept out of reach.
