Coccidiosis is a major source of scours in spring-born calves and lambs [1][2].
Caused by the protozoa ๐๐ช๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ณ๐ช๐ข, it attacks the intestinal tract, damaging the cells that line the small and large intestines.
Good colostrum management will provide passive transfer of immunity for the first few weeks of life, but once this wears off, the risk of disease increases.
