We have very sadly lost Turk (Jabiru Tawny Rambo) at the great age of 14 years 4 months. He mourned the loss of Cassie and Riever, such that we thought we would lose him too. However, the emigration of my son to Thailand brought Jabiru Ninja Turtle (Leo) home at just the right time and Turk had a fantastic final 15 months with his son. Leo now has a good friendship with Paddy the Patterdale- a real little and large act!

Thank you for looking at the page.

Sadly, following the unexpected loss earlier this year of both Riever (Roxy Mia at Jabiru) and Cassie (Jabiru Midnight Matchless) just a week apart, I have decided that there will be no more Jabiru litters.

To all owners of our previous pups, enjoy the precious time we get with these wonderful dogs.

Love from Jabiru Tawny Rambo (Turk) and Jabiru Black Ninja Turtle (Leo).

Happy Birthday to the 2015 litter, four years old today. And special thoughts of Finn and Tully x

10/06/2019

It is possible that Tully lost his young life to cancer of the spleen, as did his brother Finn. It is a fact that over 50% of Flatcoats die from cancer. We recommend that you get your dogs checked on a regular basis, and note any sudden changes in weight, energy and general joie de vivre (of which Flatcoats have boundless amounts).

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the sudden death of Tully, one of the July 2015 litter. Gone over the rainbow bridge to join his brother Finn.

On a much happier note, Darcy (Jabiru Ebony Excellence), from the same July 2015 litter, has recently had 10 pups, five dogs, five bi***es. Mum and pups doing well.

Riever and I walked 5.5 miles, including round 15 acres of newly ploughed field and through the floods in the sheep field, as our Muddy Dog Challenge. Video footage exists to prove it! Thank you to all our sponsors

We will be running the Muddy Dog Challenge in Manchester on 20 October. ‘We’ is a team of Jabiru dog owners. We are doing this in memory of all the Jabiru dogs who have gone ahead over the rainbow bridge, and to raise money for Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.

If you want to join us please let me know. If you would be prepared to sponsor us I will send you details of my Justgiving page.

Please please help us for this worthy cause, as thanks for all the love and enjoyment our furry friends have given us.

Thank you - Karen, Riever, Cassie and Turk

The Muddy Dog Challenge in Manchester on 7 July was postponed due to the hot weather, partly because there was no mud but mainly because of the risk of heat exhaustion for the dogs.
We will be taking part in the event when I is rescheduled, in memory of all the wonderful Jabiru dogs we have loved and lost.
We are raising money for Battersea Dogs Home. Your support would be appreciated.

There won't be any more Jabiru pups for a while - I will be working away from home for the next 4 years. Love the one you have!

A happy Christmas to all the dogs bearing the Jabiru prefix, and their families, wherever you are now

Very pleased to have received our card from the family of one of our very first litter. Still going strong aged 16 years. Very unusual for a flatcoat but so pleased to hear Bramble is still well.

Very sad news - tonight Finn (Jabiru Black Broadsword) lost his brief but intense fight with cancer. Gone to join our other much loved furry friends in doggy heaven. Don't stop wagging that tail, Finn. RIP.
