Had the most incredible shoot this weekend with Mustard and Blue, both Belgian Malinois both incredibly different in personality.

Mustard is a big softie, very elegant in his movement and loves a cuddle and just adorable; Blue is just phenomenal to watch, an absolutely stunning powerhouse who practically made the ground shake when he ran! It was beautiful to watch them both with their humans, whom they completely adore, and you can tell they have put an incredible amount of time, patience, and love into training them both, being quite a complex breed, especially Blue, who is a rescue and has a very busy and active mind. 🐾❤

Back in May I spent an amazing day photographing dogs for Leighton Hall. Where I also sponsored the wonderfully popular Golden Oldies class.

The winner of the class was Cassie at an incredible 16; she is a Collie Cross Golden Retreiver. But way more important than her age or breed is that she is such as sweetheart, loves everything, even more so if there is food involved, she is her own soul and is very happy off sniffing and investigating the world, and whilst her hearing is gone at her age she simply has earned the right to do her own thing! 😄
Still walking at least 4 miles a day (I think there is a lesson for us all here! 😆) She was a joy to meet and photograph.

Cassie's partner in crime and the youngen in the photos is beautiful and I think slightly sassy after all the stories I was hearing about her Ruby!
Ruby is 13 and whilst originally meant to be a working sheep dog, she was a little too good at the rounding... well, everything and not so great at the listening part so Kim and Ronnie took her in, and she has been a part of this wonderful family ever since. Failed sheepdogs she may be but perhaps she should take up a late career in modelling; she was a superstar!

Introducing Trapper and Maggie 🐾

I have known Trapper since a puppy but not seen him in quite a few years, my what a great dog he has turned out to be. Wonderfully behaved, incredibly genuine lad who is phenomenal at posing!

Maggie is a new addition to the family having had a much tougher start to life, from a puppy farm in Ireland and a few other places before finding her forever home with Helen and Dave 🥰

She is now coming into her own with a very sweet yet independent nature, she was happily sniffing her way through the shoot and just generally enjoying her new life. It was wonderful to see and capture

Just because the pony you love is going to a new and wonderful forever home, does not mean that they won't forever hold a place in your heart.

This is very much the case with Sophie and Nicola Evans Britt.

They have developed an amazing partnership over the last decade which needed to be celebrated with a photoshoot.

The Britt that I have met previously (and a lot of you know) is very different to the one I got the pleasure of capturing. She has been a stable presence in the Helm herd for many years now as the lead mare and she likes to make sure that everyone knows it.

However, seeing her and Sophie out together I saw a new sweet and genuine side so now fully understand how special she is. Sophie has always managed to get that little bit more from Britt than anyone, and it was an absolute pleasure to get to capture it. Ohh and the sunset we got to do it in was EPIC!!!!

Finn took centre stage last week, as the shoot was for him after all! But Toby and Chester also deserve a little limelig...

Finn took centre stage last week, as the shoot was for him after all! But Toby and Chester also deserve a little limelight, as they were superstars too!

I have known Toby and Finn for a few years now, having photographed them at previous gundog training events, and it was really great seeing how far they have come (although they were pretty good to begin with!) A special shout-out to Chester and his confidence in water 🥰

It's funny how sometimes I will have a favourite image from a photoshoot and it doesn't quite fit with the 'rules of photography' this one I kinda love of Casper and his mum from yesterdays shoot.

The shoot was at Lilly Tarn, a location that was recommended to me quite few years ago now from one of my favourite clients❤️

I am on the look out for new shoot locations and may even do some model calls! So if you know of any please share! Ideally no more that an hours actual round walk from start to finish, think stunning and a bit different backdrops, tarns with easy access and no stiles, I am also on the hunt for a pier that a dog could jump off where the sunset would be pretty epic, but not Windermere (due to cleanliness of water 😭)

A few more of my favourites from . I just love the way our dogs look at us, there is a something so special about the unconditional love that they offer us and it was ace to get to see so much of it as I wandered around the show (in between classes!)

I cannot imagine the amount of organisation that went into the day, by Wright Paw Forward and Hall. So thank you for having me be a part of the it really was pretty pawesome!

I hope everyone has been having a wonderful, relaxing weekend, enjoying the sun?

I have been busy away looking at all the amazing dogs from last Mondays Thank you again to Leighton Hall for hosting such an awesome day and Wright Paw Forward for organising, it really was a super day!
