We have had a black and white cat brought into us yesterday morning having been involved in an RTA on Huddersfield Road.
There was no microchip.

We have been asked to look for a very special guinea pig owner. A client knows of a guinea pig that has significant additional needs who is in need of an owner who can devote the time and attention it requires.

OWNER FOUND AND SHE IS HOME

We have had a young adult, female chihuahua type dog brought in as a stray this morning. She is chipped, but the details are not up to date.
She is well and currently having a cuddle from our staff.
Please call the surgery if you think she is yours. If we cannot get in contact with her owner, she will be collected by the dog warden later today.

IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR EU TRAVEL WITH PETS

From 22nd April, an EU issued passport may not be valid to travel with your pets.
Please check requirements with APHA before travel.
This applies to people who have an EU (including Northern Ireland) issued passport, but their main residence is in the UK.

This is a very disappointing update as there had been talking of pet passports returning, but it would appear not.

If this applies to you and you have plans for travel, please get in touch to arrange an appointment for an AHC to allow you to travel with your pets. We will do everything we can to accommodate your needs.

This APHA briefing was released on 17th April.
