Morning,

As the majority of my posts on here have been on a Friday celebrating an early finish it seems only fitting that this one should follow that trend.
As of today I’ve decided to close the business down due to a combination of factors. The demand for walks has drastically dropped which is completely understandable and I’ve had a lot of time to myself to spend doing things I enjoy. That’s something that’s been in short supply the majority of my working life and if I’m honest I’d never really valued.
That along with an interesting opportunity landing in my lap has made the decision to close down permanently a no brainer.
I’d like to thank everyone who’s used our services over the last two and a bit years and those of you who’ve liked or shared posts to get the business name out there.

**Potential Reopening** I’m looking into the viability on reopening in some capacity from mid/late July depending on the demand for walks. I’m aware that some people are still on furlough or working from home so there’s no pressure for anyone to book walks they don’t need.
If you can let me know how you’re fixed from the middle of July onwards I can have a look at the numbers and plan out what works best for everyone.

If you’re out with your pooch during the heatwave either stick to grassed and shaded areas and carry water or avoid going out when the heats at its peak. Missing a walk won’t hurt them but like this says excessive heat can kill.

**Closure Update** we currently have no plans to reopen for the foreseeable future.
I’m fortunate or unfortunate depending on your perspective to have a wife and daughter who are both a Nurse/Student Nurse and are coming into contact with COVID patients and I still feel that the risk of me potentially bringing the virus to your home outweighs any benefit to your dog.
I hope you and your dogs are all managing to keep safe it’s been good to see some of you out and about over the last few weeks and even better to see in most cases the dogs were still pleased to see me 😂

Hope you’re all keeping well and your dogs are behaving themselves.
I’m in the process of sorting out this month’s bills and will get them out to you this afternoon.

I appreciate some of you are working from home or have potentially had your wages either stopped or reduced due to the current situation.

Anyone who finds themselves in that situation can disregard the bill for now and it can be paid when normality resumes.

As you can see Millie is coping with this social distancing and isolation without any dramas 😂

** Closure** As from close of play today we’re closing for the foreseeable. I’ve given it a lot of thought and we’re now at the point where the risk outweighs the benefit to your dogs.
No dogs ever died from missing a walk but at the minute the less people out and about the safer it makes it for everyone.

If anyone can’t get alternative arrangements in place this week I’ll cover the pre booked walks as I appreciate it’s short notice.

As soon as it’s safe to reopen we’ll be back at it in the meantime stay safe.

Thanks for using us this week, we aim to continue as normal for as long as possible.

All I ask is that if you or anyone in your household are showing symptoms you let us know as unfortunately we won’t be covering dogs from households in isolation.

On a lighter note you can now pay for our services in toilet roll as it’s worth more than sterling 😂

Unexpected day off today but I’ve taken full advantage of it!

Thanks for using us this week, great to have another new recruit joining us.

Now for the bad news, as of April the price of all walks is increasing. An hour will be £11 half hour £7 and home visits £6.
I know nobody likes paying more for the same service but unfortunately my business insurance and other costs have increased year on year. I’ve absorbed the last two years worth but in order to continue to operate in the same way I’ve had no choice but to increase the cost of each walk.
