How it all began...

For many years I was my mother’s live in Carer as she had lost the use of her legs and was chair/bed bound. Her wish was to live in her own home and not a Care Home. Because she could not walk she had to have a live in Carer, so I took on the role.

Her love in life was dogs and she had worked for many many years at Wilkinson Gale and Hall Vets in Newport Road, Middlesbrough. So to keep her quality of life and ner mind active, I began to take in dogs from friends and neighbours whilst they were at work. I could not leave my Mum so it meant the pets got constant attention and care whilst their Owners were at work or away.

It quickly became popular and eventually I lost my Mum after 8 and a half years of caring for her. By then, I had quite a portfolio of visiting pets and so the pets continued and then took over my life, very quickly the business became what it is now, a full time business.

And now, well I provide a caring home for pets whose owners used to deny themselves holidays because they refused to put their pets in kennels. Not just holidays, but cover for hospital operations or recovery periods or long shifts where the pets were home alone.
