Dog training requires plenty of time and dedication from the owner, to maintain constant improvements throughout the dog’s life. In the ideal world this includes training in all weather conditions, 365 days a year, and not just for 5 mins when the sun is shining! Remember:

Whatever the breed and age of your dog, training ideally should be carried out on a daily basis. The o

ptimum type and amount of time training will vary according to owner and dog, but I will work with you to ensure you are able to factor your bespoke training programme into everyday life. Training can involve dealing with:

- loose leash walking
- recall & obedience training
- jumping, mouthing, biting
- barking, chewing
- toilet training
- crate training
- socialisation & environmental training
- lead reactivity
- separation anxiety
- aggression

We can work on only some of the above issues within a group class, however all of these issues can be dealt with within a one to one session. We highly recommend that you book a one to one session before you start on one of our group classes.

Train the owner, transform the dog 🙌🐾

A lot of behaviour problems come down to the connection between dog and handler. If that relationship isn’t clear and consistent, the dog isn’t being stubborn, they’re just confused.

Dog and owner need to be in sync. Clear communication, good timing and reinforcement help your dog understand what you actually mean.

I can teach techniques all day long. Lead skills, timing, rewards.
But progress really happens when communication improves.

Practice matters. Not once a week and not just in sessions. Train every day!

Training works best when both ends of the lead learn 🙃

For the last 5 months I’ve been attending a Scent Work Instructors CPD hosted and taught by Lindsay West Scent Work and it’s been brilliant 🙌
So much learning, sharing knowledge, and discussing different methods.

Inca has also taken on scent work as her new hobby in retirement. After retiring from SAR, scent work has given her that outlet she still craves, using her nose, problem-solving, working independently, and she absolutely LOVES it. Watching her light up again has been really special.

Scent work is such an amazing hobby, it’s mentally enriching, confidence boosting, low impact and suitable for puppies, seniors, reactive dogs & everything in between.
I highly recommend it for any dog. If you fancy giving your dog a job they’ll be obsessed with, drop me a message to find out more 🙌🐾

As we head into the New Year, take pride in how far you’ve already come.
Set your plan, trust the process, and keep moving forward. Progress doesn’t happen straight away. Some weeks feel easy, others don’t, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t working.
Consistency matters 👊
Clear boundaries matter 👌
Patience matters 🫶

Huge Congratulations to our Puppy Course Graduates! 🐾👏

Our 4-week puppy course isn’t an easy one.
It’s challenging for young dogs to focus, especially while working in a new environment around other pups and people.
We keep our classes small and supportive, making sure every handler gets plenty of one-to-one trainer attention to set their puppy up for real-life success.

These owners have put in the work and their pups have shown incredible progress.
This is just the beginning!

Not my favourite part of owning dogs; but keeping the house clean is important and it starts right here 👇
So yes, every muddy walk ends with a mini spa session…or not quite ☺️ and my dogs definitely think this is unnecessary. 😂
