🐾 A Day in the Life of a Cat Castrate at Kings Vets🐾

Ever wondered what happens when your male cat comes in to be neutered?

1️⃣ Morning Check-In:
Trunks arrived and got settled into a quiet kennel with cuddles from Rachael 🐾

2️⃣ Pre-Op Exam:
A vet does a full health check to ensure your kitty is ready for surgery 🐈

3️⃣ Anaesthesia:
Trunks was given an anaesthetic injection 💉 so he could sleep peacefully through the procedure. We monitor heart rate, breathing, and temperature 🩺 🌡️

4️⃣ The Procedure:
The castration itself is quick — usually just 5–10 minutes. This small surgery removes the testicles through tiny incisions. ✂️

5️⃣ Recovery & Cuddles:
Once surgery is done, your cat wakes up in a warm, quiet recovery area whilst being monitored by our nurses. Trunks was offered a meal when he was awake 🍽️

Neutering helps prevent unwanted litters, reduces roaming and spraying, and can lower the risk of certain health problems.
