As a dog walker I'm employed to walk your dogs, you pay me, we have contracts and agreements, there's invoices and receipts.
As a person I feel beyond lucky to have an amazing job that I love! I get paid to spend my time cuddling, walking, laughing and basically loving your dogs..
They become part of my family, the longer and more frequent I walk them they become a part of my life. Clients becomes friends of the family.
My heart bursts when I see them out and about with you and they come bounding over to me happy to see me, I love it when they hear or see my car pull up and literally jump in my car all excited.
I love seeing them create and build lovely friendships with the other dogs.
However behind all the heart and roses and good stuff comes the heartbreak.
Yesterday after 4 years we all as a family had to say goodbye to my gorgeous Mr Teddy..
He was one of my first regulars when we moved to melksham in 2020, he started early 2021 soon building upto everyday.
As he lived on my estate he was with me the longest each day (apart from my own dogs) so he was a permanent fixture in my car.
Although it all starts as business every dog becomes part of my family, they all own a little bit of my heart
My heart goes out to his family for having to make such a terrible decision, my heart feels sad today, my car empty without him..
But mostly I would like to say a huge thankyou to his lovely owners for allowing me into their family, allowing me to love teddy and be a part of his life..
From all of us and my dogs I'd like to send you lots of love to let you know we're all thinking of you.
