Whats the best recall for your dog?

The one they understand and will respond to no matter what.

For me my dogs aren't allowed off lead until I'll happily bet Β£5000 they'll come back the first time they're called everytime

Yesterday I said goodbye to my beautiful Tella. She was the most amazing dog, more than a dog, my constant shadow and companion for the last 13 years

Please bear with me over the next couple of weeks while I put my mental health first. Messages will be answered but not as fast as normal, if I need to make changes to sessions I will be in touch with you individually

Thank you

🐢To help your puppy orientate back to you teach them that you will always know where the treat is if they can't find it.

πŸ‘ŸDo this by dropping a treat on the floor then tapping your foot next to it and repeat.

πŸ• Next time you're training with your dog and they lose a treat If you know where it is, point out to them by tapping next to it

🀚 If you don't know where it is subtly drop a treat down and tap next to it with your foot.

πŸͺ„ Your dog will start to think that you magically always know where the treat is. πŸ‘€ So if they can't find it, they'll come straight back to you so you can point it out to them.

🀣I don't recommend practising in fluffy slippers!!

❌️ One of the big mistakes I see new puppy owners making is just rushing their puppy

🌍 The world's a big place in your dog needs time to process it.

🀏 The smaller your puppy, the bigger and scarier the world looks

πŸ‘€ They need to be allowed to just stop and watch the world go by when they need to
πŸ” explore things when they need to and
⏳️ be given time to process something that's just happened to them.

😌 Have some patience with them, don't just drag them down the road as soon as they start stopping to look at things.

⭐️ Giving them time to look and take things in when they're young will help them in the long run.

The boys are very lucky to be sponsored by Lucas Veterinary Physiotherapy for this canicross season!

This means they'll get regular muscle checks and massages to catch any issues before they start and treatment for any injuries.

They got some amazing coats to keep their muscles nice and warm before and after running to help prevent injury

It’s officially that time of year when the days feel shorter, the to-do lists feel longer, and somehow Christmas is suddenly right around the corner. πŸŽ„βœ¨

If you’re feeling the festive rush and struggling to fit in your dog’s training, you’re definitely not alone. December can be a lot for all of us β€” and our dogs feel the change in routine too!

That’s why I’m offering a little seasonal helping hand with my train-for-you sessions. While you’re juggling shopping, school plays, work dos, and wrapping paper explosions, I can work with your dog to keep their training on track.

It might be loose-lead walking for those winter walks, settling politely around visitors, or just keeping up good habits during a busy month. Whatever they need, I’ve got them covered so you can breathe a little easier.

If this sounds like something you’d find helpful in the lead-up to Christmas, just drop me a message. πŸŽ…πŸΎ
