We’ve had quite a few people asking us recently if Fox Pet Stores in Wirksworth is closing, so we wanted to take a moment to clear things up properly…

ABSOLUTELY NOT — WE ARE HERE TO STAY! 🎉🐶🐱

We’re not sure where this rumour has come from, but we want to reassure everyone clearly and confidently: Fox Pet Stores is staying open, right here in Wirksworth, for the long term. 🐾❤️

We’re still here every day doing what we love most, serving our amazing customers and caring for your pets. This shop is part of the local community, and that’s not changing.

We also want to say a huge thank you. Your continued support for your local independent pet shop means everything to us. Every visit, every chat, every recommendation helps keep us going, and we are genuinely so grateful. 🥰

So please don’t worry - we are not going anywhere. Fox Pet Stores is staying open and staying local. 🦊🐾❤️

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Fox Pet Stores will be closing from 12:00pm tomorrow (Friday).

We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding. If you need pet food or supplies, please pop in before midday if you can.

We’ll be back to our normal opening hours on Saturday.

🐾 Part-Time Shop Assistant Required – Fox Pet Stores 🐾

We're looking for a reliable, flexible and confident person to join our team on an ad hoc basis.

The role will involve covering staff holidays, occasional Saturdays and other shifts during the week when needed, sometimes at short notice.

Full training will be provided, but you must be able to work independently and take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the shop when required. We're looking for someone with a friendly, positive attitude, good common sense and the confidence to use their own initiative.

Duties will include:• Serving customers• Operating the till• Stocking shelves• Receiving and putting away deliveries• Banking cash takings• Keeping the shop clean, tidy and well presented• Occasional local deliveries in the Wirksworth area• General day-to-day shop duties

This role would suit someone who enjoys working with people, is dependable, organised and happy to work on their own when required.

A full driving licence would be an advantage.
