Sales Assistant (aka Treat Dealer & Professional Pet Fuser) 🐾

Do you love animals? Can you chat to humans without hiding behind the dog treats? Do you think every dog deserves to be told they're a very good boy/girl? Then keep reading...

We're on the hunt for a Sales Assistant (aka Treat Dealer & Professional Pet Fuser) to join our friendly team at our independent pet shop & dog groomers in Matlock!

🐶 Around 25 hours per week (we can be flexible!)
📅 Alternate weekend availability is essential, so we're looking for someone who can happily commit to this as part of the role.
🐾 No retail experience? No problem! We'd much rather have someone who's confident, friendly, loves animals, and knows that great customer service is just as important as giving out the best belly rubs.

What will you be doing?

The fun bits...
🐕 Meeting lots of amazing dogs (and the occasional cat!).
🛍️ Helping pet parents find the perfect food, treats, toys and accessories.
🍖 Handing out treats (strictly to the pets... mostly).
✂️ Booking grooming appointments and chatting with our wonderful customers.
😂 Joining in with whatever shenanigans we're getting up to that day.

The real bits...
📦 Processing online orders.
🚚 Unpacking deliveries and keeping shelves stocked.
📋 Stock management and making sure everything is where it should be.
📞 Answering customer calls, emails and messages.
🧼 Keeping the shop looking its best.
🏪 Helping with the day-to-day running of the shop.

And then there's the not-so-glamorous bit...
💩 Cleaning up the occasional (okay... frequent) dog wee and poo. It's all part of the job when you work with animals, and we're looking for someone who's happy to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in!

If you're looking for a job where no two days are the same, where you'll laugh a lot, meet plenty of furry friends, and be part of a small, supportive team, we'd love to hear from you.
