What a fantastic few days Willow Banks EC of British Showjumping and British Dressage. We were certainly lucky with the weather

A huge amount of preparation went into the arena surfaces beforehand. Despite a crucial breakdown of the teleporter right in the middle of the entrance causing a few challenges during prep, the team worked tirelessly with re-levelling, deep harrowing, rolling, and plenty of watering across all arenas to ensure the best possible going for competitors. This was rewarded with a huge amount of feedback how well all the arenas rode!

British Showjumping saw strong entries throughout the weekend, with a special well done to Joe Davies riding MEESCA to take the win in the highly competitive 1.35m class.

Dressage riders battled it out in Team Quest and My Quest, British Dressage next with some great scoring tests. Jess Carr performed a fabulous test to music to round the day off.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR UPCOMING SHOWS AT Willow Banks EC

There has been an increase in Equine Influenza cases across the country. To help minimise the risk of spread, through the guidence of British Dressage and British Showjumping we are implementing the following procedures at Willow Banks.

🐴 British Dressage
• All horse passports must be checked before horses are allowed off the lorry/trailer.
• Please follow signs for Dressage-only parking to help minimise the mixing of horses.

🐴 British Showjumping
• Spot checks of passports will be carried out on arrival.
• Please follow signs for Showjumping-only parking.

Please help us by following these important guidelines:

• Maximum of 8 horses in each specific warm-up arena at any one time.
• Do not graze horses on site.
• Do not allow horses to touch each other and keep a safe distance where possible.
• Please wash horses down using a bucket and sponge, not in areas with shared hose pipes.
• If your horse is showing any signs of illness, please do not attend the show.
• Any horse attending the Willow Banks site must have an up-to-date vaccination.

All unafilliated events will be following the guidence of British Showjumping

Thank you for your cooperation and support in helping keep all horses safe. Times will be online by 9pm this evening.

Attention for tomorrow’s BS and Dressage

It’s going to be a very busy day with a lot of trailers and lorries expected. Please park sensibly and make use of the grass area in the lorry park as well — the ground is rock hard and perfectly fine to park on.

The lunge pen will be open for anyone to use, but please only one horse at a time.

Please be ready for your times and remember that only 8 horses are allowed in the collecting arena at once.

We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!

Dear competitors,

Unfortunately, due to Northern Powergrid scheduling a full-day power outage on Thursday, we have no option but to cancel Thursday’s British Showjumping show at Willow Banks EC .

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
All entries will be fully refunded.

What a great start to the season on Sunday!
It was fantastic to welcome our resident paramedic — and even better to put on a show with zero falls (the only staff member I’m happy to pay to do nothing 😄).

We had a very busy day with both BS and dressage, and we’re lucky to be blessed with a good forecast again for this Thursday, 29th January (BS).
