Next week’s weather looking to massively screw dog walker’s over 😩 🔥 When I cancel walks for hot weather please bear in mind I lose all that day’s income. I don’t cancel because I can’t be bothered to walk when it’s warm, I cancel because it isn’t safe to walk your dogs. Those of you who insist on paying me regardless, you are absolute legends 🙏🏻 but please know it’s not expected. It’s a flipping annoying side effect of the wonderful British weather and luckily doesn’t happen tooooo often🙈

That said, I may still be able to get some dogs out for a leg stretch by the water, which is often more beneficial than a garden visit as they’ll tend to mooch about steadily sniffing, rather than the garden where they are looking to chase balls etc. All my car crates have individual fans and the air con will be working overtime for my sake as much as theirs🫠😆 Anyway… I’ll take each day as it comes and do what I can! 😎

Went out to feed Mrs Hedgehog before bed and I got distracted by the millions of bugs in the tree, they were so loud! Cockchafers? Ellie Puss was hunting them, and then I realised Mrs Hedgehog was almost at my feet and I hadn’t noticed🦔 Plus Annie standing at the gate wondering what’s so interesting at this time of night😆

I’ve had 2 days ‘off’ at the Lincolnshire Show with the basset hounds, arrived home from the show, quick turnaround and straight back out to a house sit with some of my faves 🥰 Very sad though to have Connie’s kennel empty since our last stay 🥺 On a brighter note, who needs a tv when you’ve got these 2 clowns 🤪 they’ve been going non stop now for the last half an hour. I’ve had to call a time out as it’s still incredibly warm here!

And if you’re there on the Thursday, please come and find me with the basset hounds in the Countryside Area - they’d love to see you, and even better if you bring children for cuddles!

DOG PEOPLE! I’ve been feeding Pure for about 6 weeks now and really impressed with it. Faithful is slowly losing weight while having decent portion sizes, whereas on kibble I felt she was barely getting anything, getting fatter by the day, and always hungry. It takes up so little storage space in the house and is so convenient! Skin and coat etc look great and shiny, and it just seems to really suit her.
