Ticks can be as small as a sesame seed but can carry dangerous diseases, like Lyme disease, which affects both pets and humans. Tick bites often go unnoticed until symptoms appear.

🌿 Warmer weather means the start of tick season. Check your pets regularly and speak to us about tick prevention.

Talking pesky parasites in cats 🪱 🐈

Cats can get roundworm and tapeworm by accidentally eating their eggs, and it’s important to take preventative treatment by giving them a regular wormer.

Symptoms of worms include:

🐈 Weight loss
🐈 Eating more
🐈 Diarrhoea
🐈 Tapeworm segments (which look like grains of rice) in your cat’s poo

If you have any concerns or questions about worming your cat, get in touch.

📢 Did you know that a flea can live from between 14 days to one year and a female can lay up to 50 eggs in one day – that’s 1500 in a lifetime!

We believe preventative treatment is the best course of action for fleas, ticks and worms, that’s why we include year-round treatment for cats and dogs in our Lifetime Care Club.

Signs that your pet might have fleas:

🐶🐱 excessive scratching
🐶🐱 small red bumps or bite marks
🐶🐱 hair loss or dry skin from scratching
🐶🐱 tiny black specks in fur, bedding or furniture.
