Now that we've been welcoming boarders for a while, we've had the opportunity to reflect on how things are working and, more importantly, how they can be even better.

The vision for Vallavean has always been to provide a calm, relaxed environment where dogs have as much choice as possible while receiving the highest standards of care from an Animal Behaviourist.

Although licensed to accommodate three families at a time, we chose to limit that to two. After careful consideration, we've realised that even two families isn't the right fit for Vallavean’s standards. Our responsibility is not only to meet each dog's physical, mental and emotional needs, but to also consider the needs of other boarders and our own dogs.

With that in mind, going forward Vallavean Boarding will only accommodate one family booking at a time. We truly believe this change will allow for an even more personalised, relaxed and bespoke boarding experience, ensuring every dog receives the optimal standard of care possible.

As a result of changing to a single-family boarding service the number of bookings that can be taken reduces, and with the rising costs of running a small business our boarding fees have needed to be reviewed. Any bookings already confirmed under our original policy will be honoured and remain at the agreed rate. The changes will be applied to booking taken from today.

We are incredibly excited about the future of Vallavean Boarding. We truly believe this change will allow us to offer something even more special — a genuinely bespoke boarding experience where every dog receives the time, care and attention they deserve from an Animal Behaviourist.

Lovely having Maggie (middle) stay with us again.
Maggie is a Vallavean puppy and thanks to our cross-household interaction plan she can spend time with her mom Tink (right), Loki (left), Blue (her half brother) and Storm (her niece).

Our bespoke boarding is designed to give owners peace of mind knowing their dogs are looked after to the highest possible standards.
