The Golden Orfe is one of the fastest swimmers you can add to a pond — and they rarely sit still! 💨

Native to Europe, these striking silver-to-gold fish are highly active shoalers and need plenty of open water to thrive. In the right conditions, they can grow up to 40cm+, making them a real statement fish in larger ponds.

They’re also excellent at keeping pests under control, happily feeding on insects that land on the water’s surface. 🦟🌿

Best kept in groups, Golden Orfe bring constant movement, energy, and flashes of gold that really bring a pond to life.

Are your fish are trying to tell you something, here’s what to look for 👇

Flicking or rubbing against surfaces? Likely parasite irritation.
Gasping at the surface or going quiet? Could be gill damage or infection.
Milky mucus or white spots? Often parasites like whitespot.
Cotton wool-like growths? That’s typically fungus.
