I’ve had to cancel all of my dogs for walks this week Not because I’m lazy…..But because It’s gonna be 24 degrees by 9am...

I’ve had to cancel all of my dogs for walks this week

Not because I’m lazy…..

But because It’s gonna be 24 degrees by 9am!!

And around 30 degrees midday (if not higher throughout the week)

No dog whilst in my care, will ever be put in danger just for the sake of going for a walk

You hear this line alot… “No dog has ever died from missing a walk” - there is so much you can do inside to mentally stimulate your dogs a walk is NOT needed in this heat.

Will we lose money? Absolutely, and that’s a huge concern, but I would rather suffer than kill a dog.

Is it stressful? Yes, for sure it’s the main consistent income I pay my bills with!

Will my customers dogs all be alive, safe, and in the best place? Yes absolutely, and I am on hand for pop ins if they’re needed.

Personally, if your dog walker is walking your dogs at any point this week (other than maybe Friday unless it changes) I think it’s irresponsible of a business to risk the health of animals who are not used to this type of instant heat (neither are we as humans)

Keep your dogs in the cool, out of the sun, and create frozen healthy treats/games for them to do inside to mentally stimulate them, even the most lively breeds don’t NEED to be out in this weather! 🐾💚
