Lurcher Showing & Lure Coursing at Sandringham Country Fair September ‘25

Timber especially excelled winning the Gundog Bale Scurry by a country mile, beating experienced gundogs with his speed and agility & shockingly coming in as Reserve Champion for under 23” Lurchers Coursing. Unfortunately he was the only under 21” there to race (Calypso was too young) so he had to compete in a higher category. He even managed to snag a 3rd in the Smooth Lurcher Dog Category

Shiver and Calypso entered Showing and did fairly well, Calypso placing 2nd in Lurcher Puppy and Shiver in working whippet bitch.

The lovely Michael Treacher managed to get a few snaps of Shiver in her first Championship Race, a tough race in and of itself against two WrCh.

Shiver suffered a pretty nasty tumble early on in the race but thankfully was okay other than a little bit bruised. She was checked promptly by various rehab & veterinary professionals and will live to fight another day.

Not her best first experience in a championship event but the important thing is she made it out physically okay and with her confidence seemingly unaffected.
