As the GCSE results are released tomorrow, there is something incredibly important to remember: you are more than the number on the page. You are more than a number assigned to you.
This is the strangest year I've known, that most of us have known and ultimately we are unsure as to what next year holds for all our students. The most important thing I've learnt in the 11 years from I sat my own GCSE's is this: decide and then try. It doesn't matter if the grade given isn't what you expected, our futures are not defined by a mark scheme, a teachers assessment, a government algorithm. Our future's and our future selves are determined by our own will, our own grit and having someone believing in us.
If you decide that you wish to enter the autumn exam session with a view to upping the grade received tomorrow, I believe in you. If you decide that you want support in your maths following a strange year, in order for you to put your best effort in with exams next year or if you just want some extra help to get back into the routine of school, please don't hesitate to contact me.
I pride myself on individualised learning, and I have various methods to suit the individual student, because "one size does not fit all".
Regardless, hold your head high tomorrow, be proud that you have made it through this year and focus on setting your future plans.

Ps. There is no set timelines for when things must be achieved in life. Throughout my own journey in education I have met people in their late 40s changing their life plans completely and honestly, they have some of the widest life experience
