We've had a few new followers recently so thought we'd introduce our four and provide a bit of background to them. Grab a brew âïļ, it's a long post!
First off is 7 year old Teddy, the Goldendoodle. At 4 months old he was handed in to the previous owner's vet due to behavioural problems, predominantly resource guarding. We were asked to do an assessment of him and of course he ended up joining our family, which at the time included 3 Spaniels. We remamed him as his new start in life deserved a new name.
Next up, came Lola, our 5 year old French Bulldog, a breed we wouldn't have necessarily chosen. She came to us at 4 months old. Her previous owner was an elderly lady with mobility issues who realised she was struggling to meet the needs of a puppy and therefore we stepped in and brought her home. By this point we had Buster, our elderly Springer whom we had also rehomed when he was 12 months old, Teddy and Lola (she loved Buster to bits and he taught her everything she knows about chasing squirrels).
This is when we decided we were in a position to bring a puppy into the family and chose a fox red Labrador who we named Eden. She will be 3 in the summer and is as beautiful as the name suggests.
Finally, we were approached about 4 year old working Cocker Spaniel, Ralphie, He has a bite history and to rehome him to anyone inexperienced would not have been doable so this crazy little boy joined us last year. We had sadly had to say goodbye to Buster so it seemed appropriate to have a Spaniel back in the family again.
They are all a massive part of our lives and whilst having 4 dogs means holidays abroad are a thing of the past and their food, grooming and medication costs outweigh ours (ðĪŠðĪĢ), we wouldn't be without them and we love being able to include them in training sessions.
Anyway, that's the gang...also known as the A ð Team! If you're in need of some help with your own dog/dogs and would like to meet them in "person", give us a shout.
