💔 I need to say this. Please read. 💔

Every single day I am drowning in messages.
20+ phone calls, 6 emails, 5 Facebook messages all demanding the same thing: “Take my animal. NOW.” This is just today alone.

And when I say we can’t because we have no space, no funds, and no mental capacity left I get screamed at, hung up on, sent abuse. Yesterday, I even received a voice note full of insults… all because we said “no.”

But where are those people when we need help?
Where are they when we can’t pay the vet bills?
Where are they when the animals are desperate for food, care, and safety?

They’re gone.

We don’t run on magic. We run on blood, sweat, tears, and whatever pennies we can scrape together. And it’s breaking us. I am one person, trying to hold this rescue together, learning as I go, growing a little human inside me while raising another outside of me and I am exhausted.

I started this rescue for the animals. To give them a chance when no one else would. But lately, it feels like the world has forgotten that behind every rescue is a human being, already carrying more than most people could imagine.

💔 The lies on surrender forms.
💔 The animals dropped off with hidden problems.
💔 The abuse when we can’t fix everything instantly.

I’ve had enough. The abuse has to stop.

If you care about animals, please stand with us. Support us. Share our posts. Donate if you can. Show kindness instead of cruelty. Because without your help, there will be no rescue.

We are fighting every day for the voiceless. Please, I’m begging you fight with us, not against us.

Lightning would like to be your little dose of happiness this crisp morning! 😍❤️

Lightning has been a very poorly girl the past couple weeks but with the sheer grit and determination from our dedicated team she’s pulling through beautifully and it’s time like these when you think you’re going to lose them that your heart fills with joy and happiness that we can truly make a difference!

Wow what a community we have! We went down and had a fab meal the service was great and all for charity. These guys are legends please support them if you’re local ❤️

The final count is in… thank you URMSTON ❤️ together we raised a total of…. £1,351 to split between our two amazing local charities Carrington Animal Rescue & Little Green Sock Project it was such an incredible evening, your generosity was phenomenal and it was the best way to celebrate our first birthday as a restaurant 🥹❤️ raffle winners to be announced this week! WEVE DONE IT!!! ITS FINALLY HAPPENED!!!

2 years… 2 years it took us to…

GET CHARITY STATUS!!!!!!

We have officially got charity status. Oh. My. God. The amount of time effort and heartache the process has caused with set backs and what feels like trivial pursuits. It’s finally done!!!

That means… things are CHANGING!! And one of them is our name, it will be sad but so much better in the long run. Grants, gift aid etc is going to be a literal life saver.

I need to get my head round everything but
CARRINGTON ANIMAL RESCUE is only just beginning and I can’t WAIT to see what the future holds ❤️

It was so lovely to meet Andrew Western today, urmston and Stretford MP to present us with a certificate for business of the month award!

It was great to show our achievements and growth since 2019 and hopefully continued expansion with some VERY exciting brainwaves (I know, dangerous) I’ve been having which will benefit our local community tremendously for cat owners and potentially support our rescue so it can support itself more - watch this space! 2026 should be a very exciting year!

I would like to thank our community and supporters for constantly helping me achieve my dreams and so much more by saving and helping as many lives as possible. You guys are just as incredible as the huge team I have backing me. Long may it continue for as long as I keep my sanity 😍😂

As you can imagine funds are tight but I’d really like to decorate our new viewing area with cat related wall art! It’s blank magnolia walls at the moment and very boring! 🥱

They say it takes a village!

Hache is a wonderful restaurant in urmston, I have been many a times and the food is flawless. They’re doing a fundraiser for us and little green sock TONIGHT!!

All the money is being split between us both so if you’re hungry and want great food AND want to support us and little green sock head down for some great grub!!

⚠️🐾 DANGER ZONE: VOLUNTEERING AT CARRINGTON 🐾⚠️

Side effects may include:
• Falling head over heels for scruffy faces 😍
• Developing a sudden “allergy” to empty sofas at home 🛋️🐕
• Saying the words “just fostering” (we all know how that ends 👀)
• Accidentally adopting… oh, say… 34 animals (and counting) 🙈

We warned you: when they’re poorly, broken, or neglected, these little souls sneak into your heart before you can say “I’m just here to help.” 💘

So if you apply to volunteer with us, do so at your own risk… You might just leave with more pets than you arrived with. 🐶🐱💥
