How could anyone not melt looking at this face? š„¹š¾
This is Sushi - one of my regular Monday to Friday walkers and a chow chow with enough fluff and charm to stop people in their tracks š (even dogs who are often surprised by how fluffy she is haha)
One of the greatest privileges of this job is that over time, you donāt just walk dogsā¦you truly get to know them.
Their quirks.
Their habits.
Their favourite sniff spots.
Their moods.
Their little personality traits that make them uniquely them.
And the stronger that relationship becomes, the more protective you feel over them.
Thereās something about caring for dogs every day - seeing their innocence, their trust, their vulnerability - that awakens a real protective instinct.
I imagine this is the closest thing to being a parent š
Sushi may be independent, stubborn, opinionated (as chow chows often are š
), but beneath all that fluff is a wonderful soul that brings so much joy and light to everyone who meets her
