Bonfire Night is just around the corner, and while many of us enjoy the fireworks, it can be a really stressful time for our pets. 🎇
We stock Calmex, a gentle calming option that you can buy over the counter at our
reception:
🐶Tablets for dogs
🐱Plug-in pheromone diffusers for cats
These should ideally be started at least 3 days before the event to help your pets stay relaxed.
For pets who struggle more severely, our vets can also prescribe prescription-only calming medication - but your pet will need a consultation first if they haven't had this before.
Don't leave it too late - give us a call to chat about the best option for your pet and help them have a calmer Bonfire Night.

The handsome Winston was in recently for a dental with the vet Zak. As you can see Winston made a speedy recovery and luckily didn't lose his ability to wag his tail 😀
As dogs and cats get older, dental work may be needed to help keep them at their healthiest. Dental checks are done at your pets annual health check/booster but if you would like them to be checked a consultation with the vet can be booked. Please call to speak with one of our lovely reception staff if you would like more information on dental care.

Rora's Mum recently brought her to see our lovely vet Zak, as she was concerned Rora was lethargic and out of sorts. After carrying out blood work and an ultrasound scan, Rora was diagnosed with having low cortisol (Hypoadrenocorticism/Addison's disease). After starting Rora on the necessary medications and performing regular blood panels to check her electrolyte levels, we are pleased to say that Rora is responding well to treatment and her Mum reports a huge improvement at home.
Rora has been very brave with all her recent visits to see Zak and is now happy to take treats from him for being such a good girl.

Did you know it is a legal requirement to keep your cats or dogs microchip details up to date.
You can do this by contacting the database to confirm the details are up to date. If you do not know your pets microchip number or are unsure if it is chipped, you can book an appointment with one of our nurses to scan your pet.
