I wonder when pet sitting will be taken seriously by those who want a good reliable, trusted, recommended and insured for MILLIONS of pounds professional pet sitter.
I get messages every single day asking how much for an over night stay
The answer is £45 a night (nowhere near enough)
Not only are we trusted to live, sleep, eat and have keys to your homes
We look after your dogs, cats, fish, rabbits, gerbils and everything else in-between
We look after them as if they are our own, you get updates every day
They get taken on walks (weather permitted) indoor enrichment, garden play cuddles on the sofa and in the bed
Your animals keep the same routine they know, and they are used too
You know where they are and they are safe and not in a kennel, or a home boarder you might not know very well
Where as us pet sitters
We miss our families
Our own dogs
Birthdays
Gatherings
Nights out
Our own beds
And our own routines
All so people can do the above and go on holiday and have peace of mind there pets are in safe hands by professionals
I see the prices on the comments sections of posts im tagged in
People offering this for £25 per night etc and the people saying £45 is a rip off
These people arent professionals they are doing it as one offs, and nobody knows who they are
£45÷12 = a massive £3.75 per hour.
And lets face it, if anyone has done a house stay they will tell you its never 12 hours. And the wages are never enough
Its time to rethink my prices
