50:50 Isn’t Enough!

Loving our dogs unconditionally is only part of being a responsible dog owner. Dogs need more than just our affection—they need guidance, structure, and boundaries to thrive.

Too often, we’re giving our dogs a “50:50 life”:
🐕 Letting them meet every dog without considering the risks
🎲 Letting them off-lead with no training
👶 Bringing a baby home without preparation

These are just some examples, but there are so many situations like this and when we let our dogs start “teaching” themselves without structure, that 50:50 chance shifts even more in their favour—not ours. This can lead to habits that are difficult to undo.

Training isn’t about controlling them; it’s about setting them up for a safe, confident, and fulfilling life. Let’s give our dogs 100%, not just 50:50.

Show your dog how much they mean to you. Be the leader that they deserve.

Let’s talk about responsible dog ownership. We all love our dogs, but part of that love means taking care of what they leave behind. Yep, we’re talking about picking up after your dog! In Manchester it’s becoming a problem that dog owners lack the ability to clean up after their dogs.

Leaving dog waste isn’t just unpleasant – it can spread harmful bacteria, pollute our water, and affect the health of other animals and humans. A quick pick up makes a huge difference for our community and environment.

It only takes a moment to make a positive impact. So next time you’re out with your dog, bag it, toss it, and keep our shared spaces clean.

Today on my walk with Kylo, he decided to lay down in the middle of a field. I joined him, and it was exactly what I needed. It reminded me of the importance of self-awareness amidst daily pressures. Our dogs have an incredible way of knowing just when we need to pause, reflect, and grow.
