So tomorrow, 3rd June is our girl Pixie's 'Gotcha Day'🩷

Words cannot express the deep love Mark and I feel for you Pixie girl🥰 You have bought so much love, fun, hilarity and mischievousness into our world. When we found you, you were so thin, so desperately in need of love, care, safety and structure.....roll on one year and you have surpassed EVERY expectation we had of you! You have become a Pet Therapy Dog🥹 giving so much joy to Residential Care Residents❤️, including my Dad, whose eyes literally light up when you arrive, Mark's Mum, also in a Care Home, my adorable Mum and Pete, literally everyone who meets you🩷 We adore you Pixie, you are incredibly special and just made for us.

☀️ HOT WEATHER WARNING FOR DOG OWNERS ☀️🐶
Please be careful walking your dogs in this heat. What might feel “not too bad” to us can actually be extremely dangerous for dogs, especially older dogs, puppies, flat faced breeds, overweight dogs and those with thick coats.
Dogs can’t cool themselves down like humans do and heatstroke can happen VERY quickly. By the time they are struggling, it can already be an emergency.
🐾 Early morning walks only
🐾 Shorter, slower walks
🐾 Plenty of water available
🐾 Shade and rest breaks
🐾 Avoid hot pavements (if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for paws)
🐾 Skip the walk completely if needed — honestly a missed walk is safer than risking heatstroke
At Go Lea’d I’ll be adapting walks depending on the temperature, including earlier walks, more shaded areas, slower paced walks and extra water breaks. The dogs’ safety always comes first 💜
Remember… dogs would rather miss one walk than end up seriously ill at the vets 🥵

I have a little black, short haired dog, I think a cross between a spaniel and Staffy who I have been walking for the last 18 months that needs a new, loving and caring home. Due to very sad, changing circumstances, this little 9 year old (approx) girl needs a new, loving, kind and permanent home. When I first met her she was timid, took several months to trust me and quite overweight, due to poor food and too many treats. I have watched her flourish in confidence and happiness🥰, her little joyful face on walks is a picture. If you think you can give this sweet natured girl a permanent, loving home with good quality food and beautiful walks then please dm me. I have not included a photo for privacy reasons but she is neutered, around the size of a small Spaniel and absolutely adoreable.

It’s the little things that get you when you least expect it 🥺

Just a reminder that all dogs LEGALLY need to wear a tag/collar with owner’s contact details on.
I (& you) can be fined if I’m out walking dogs without owners details on.
I’ve mentioned this many times over the years so everyone knows the rules.
From now on, if a dog doesn’t have a tag on I will not be taking them out & the walk will still be charged for.
Tags are not expensive, nor are they difficult to obtain.
Percy & Erla have tags which slide on to their collars so they can’t catch on branches.
Erla also has a collar with her details embroidered on.
Moo has several with different names on depending which mood she’s in.
Nettas is just rude.

I don’t ask a lot guys but I am putting my paw down on this one.
