World Veterinary Day is an annual event celebrated worldwide to honour the crucial contributions of veterinary professionals to animal health.

Here are several reasons why our vets are so great:
Compassion: Going above and beyond, ensuring their patients receive the best possible care
Expertise: Our vets continue to undergo extensive education and training
Advocacy: They promote responsible horse ownership and preventive healthcare
Problem-solving: Our vets employ critical thinking and diagnostic tools to identify the root cause of health problems and develop effective treatment plans
Adaptability: They are adaptable and able to handle a wide variety of situations, from routine check-ups to emergency surgeries

Did you know The Horse Trust exists because of one book? πŸ“–

Ann Lindo was so inspired by Anna Sewell’s touching story of Black Beauty all of those years ago, that our sanctuary was born in 1886, to give respite to those like Black Beauty, right the way through to retired working horses of today such as our magnificent residents.

Thankfully, the working horses of today live much more pleasant lives than they did once upon a time. We can thank Anna Sewell for playing a huge part in that. The book resonated with so many people at the time, that it created a whole shift in the way we view and treat horses.

We know all too well the difference stories can make. So this , we encourage you to think about how you can use your voice, in whatever form, to make a positive impact like those who have come before us πŸ’š HTx
