🐎 MALTON OPEN DAY – SUNDAY 6TH SEPTEMBER 🐎

Hi all,

We’re pleased to be supporting Malton Open Day 2026 and it would be great to see as many of our owners as possible come along and support the day.

The racing yards will be open from 8:45am until 12 noon, giving everyone the opportunity to get behind the scenes and enjoy what is always a brilliant morning for racing in Malton.

Importantly, by purchasing a ticket and supporting Malton Open Day, you are also helping to support the fantastic work Racing Welfare does for everyone working within the racing industry. It’s a charity that provides invaluable support to racing staff and the wider racing community, so it would be great to see as many people as possible getting behind the day.

Malton Open Day is once again linked with York Racecourse, with those attending also having the opportunity to purchase reduced-price tickets for the YorkMix Family Raceday that afternoon.

It’s a fantastic day to showcase racing in Malton, open our doors to the public and, most importantly, support a brilliant cause.

Today is the day.

After six months of dedication, hard work and commitment, Brian heads to the Knavesmire to take part in this year’s charity race aboard Intinso.

Everyone at Craig Lidster Racing would like to wish Brian the very best of luck. We are incredibly proud of the effort he has put in throughout his training journey, and even more so of the fantastic cause he is supporting.

Thanks to the generosity of so many people, Brian has already raised over £4,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support, a truly remarkable charity that provides invaluable help, care and guidance to people and families affected by cancer when they need it most.

Today isn’t just about the race itself – it’s about raising awareness and support for a cause that touches so many lives.

Good luck Brian, Intinso and all of the other riders and horses taking part. We hope you all have a safe and enjoyable day, and we’re all cheering you on from the sidelines.

16.3hh | 6yo TB Gelding

Recently retired from racing, sound, blemish free and no vices. A lovely horse with three beautiful paces and plenty of scope over hurdles. He would excel in an ROR home or eventing career.

He hacks out happily alone, has impeccable stable manners and travels well in a trailer. He has already started his ROR in-hand career and has been very successful, coming home with plenty of red ribbons.

A genuine, quality horse ready for his next chapter.

Just a little update to say that both mum and foal are doing really well following the birth.

The foal has already picked up the stable nickname of “Poppy”, and she’s continuing to grow in confidence by the hour. As we move forward, we will allow racing names to be suggested by her owners, but for now we’re just delighted that both mum and foal are happy and healthy.

I’ve attached some more photos for you all to enjoy — it’s been lovely seeing the excitement from everyone involved in our very first foal syndicate.
