So many encouraging little indicators at just 5 months. Sensible dog, loves retrieving, hunting and adores swimming…. A positive future I think! 😍❤️😍

Two summer 2026 Game Fairs done! ✅✅

Tonic, my superstar, qualified for the invitation Open test at The Scottish Game Fair at Scone. Along with Sarah Winter and Tain, we were the only Goldens to qualify!
It’s a big step to run at challenging open level with the back drop of game fair distractions! We fell a bit short on a couple of the tests but I was excited to be there representing our breed in such a public arena. Definitely aiming to qualify again next year!

More showing off our breed at The Game Fair, Ragley Hall with Sarah Winter, Adrian Phillips and Amanda Smith and our Working Golden Training Demonstration. Always fun to do and well received. The dogs have a great time and love their job! ❤️

A very special afternoon with the Northern Golden Retriever Association and their annual working tests!
Tonic still being amazing won the Open test with Trip coming 2nd and Tikka won the Veteran test!
Results like that don’t often come together so I do feel very blessed with my dogs….❤️🐾❤️

My superstar Tonic… exceeding all expectations this year! ❤️

Only a week after winning the Highland AV Novice Test, she is awarded 3rd place in the Golden Retriever Club of Scotland’s AV Open test on the Logiealmond Estate, Perthshire!

She definitely earned her downtime yomp through the woods!

My darling Tonic - an amazing caring mum to her 9 gorgeous pups but her duties are done and how glad is she to be back out…..

Straight out of the blocks, she had a nice 3rd place at the breed novice test. An encouraging start…. But then with pups at only 12 weeks, Tonic, against a big class, only goes and wins the Highland Gundog Club’s novice test, dropping just 2 points from 120! I am seriously proud of her even if I was speechless..! Special dog ❤️

Trip and I stepped into the showing world for a couple of events.. very much out of Trip’s comfort zone!
He qualified for The Golden Retriever Club, Best of the Best Event and the class for dogs gaining a stud book number in 2025. As expected, we were no match for the beautiful show dogs! However everyone was very welcoming and most supportive. Best of all, I was delighted to be presented with a very special President’s award for the best full working dog.
Next stop was Crufts Field Trial class where we gained a 3rd prize. Well done to my friends Mary Palk and Andrew Ward-Smith coming 1st and 2nd.
All a fun and enjoyable experience but I think we’re best sticking to what we know..😂
