We are starting to look at our classes for 2027. Let us know if there is anything you'd like to see scheduled and we can look into it. It can be workshops, short courses or regular classes. It can be something we have done before or something new. We have a new instructor joining us shortly who is experienced in lots of different types of training! Daytime and evenings are available.

OCTOBER AGILITY FOUNDATIONS - Last Space remaining!!

A 4 week course learning some of the foundation skills for Agility. Those who want to will be able to continue with regular classes after the initial 4 weeks.

Agility is fast and fun, most dogs love to run and jump and learn new skills. It is great for building a solid partnership between dog and owner.
🐾 Suitable for dogs 9 months
🐾 Dogs must have a reasonably reliable recall (as Agility is off lead).
🐾 Dogs must be happy working around other dogs.

Puppy Training!

We currently offer 3 stages of puppy training:

1. A foundation puppy class suitable for pups up to 20 weeks of age. This class covers the basics which includes response to name, foundation recall, walking on a lead, sit, down, handling, socialisation and more. We also help with common issues like toilet training and biting.

2. Puppy club - this is a follow on class from puppy class but is also suitable for pups 20 weeks to 9 months. It works further on the skills in foundation as well as adding in some fun tricks and skills

3. Youth club - for pups 9 months to 2 years. This class focuses on the skills owners struggle with through adolescence, lots of proofing skills and working on building a solid relationship with the puppy and lots of recall work!

Youth club - 28th Oct at 8.30pm
Puppy club - 29th Oct at 8.30pm
Puppy class (up to 20 weeks) - 18th Nov at 6.15pm

Last Bronze Good citizen of 2026 starts on 20th October at 8pm!

A couple of spaces are remaining.

The Bronze Award is the first level of training following on from Puppy Courses or for dogs over the age of 20 weeks. The Course follows the content of the Kennel Club Good Citizens Scheme, meaning that the Course is structured and has set exercises that should be achieved by the end of the Course.
The Course runs for 8 weeks with each session lasting for 1 hour. Weeks 1 to 6 are training exercises. Week 7 is a full run through of the examination and then work on any problem areas. Week 8 is the examination. The examination will be led by an external examiner who has not previously taught the group.

Some of the elements in the Bronze Good Citizens Dog Scheme:
🐾 Walking your dog to heel on lead
🐾 Walking your dog around distractions
🐾 Recalling your dog
🐾 A one minute stay
🐾 Walking through a doorway under control
🐾 Examining and grooming your dog
🐾 Being able to remove and fit your dogs walking equipment
🐾 Questions on being a responsible dog owner

Do you have an adolescent puppy that’s starting to become hard work?
We can help…
Puppy ‘youth’ club - A group for older puppies up to approx 24 months of age.
Older puppies have different needs to younger pups as they are going through adolescence which isn’t much fun for owners! They have the energy and build of an adult dog but can’t yet have the exercise of an adult dog and so often when mental stimulation is lacking they become a little challenging!
This class is a regular weekly class for as long as you wish to keep training your puppy/dog.
We will cover things like:
Age appropriate obedience,
Recalls,
Problem solving,
Tricks,
Games and life skills,
Socialisation experiences,
Outdoor training,
Taster sessions for various activities
Ways to provide mental stimulation at home
Problem behaviours (please note we can not deal with reactivity issues in a class)
…and more!
Wednesday evenings starting on
28th Oct 2026 at 8.30pm
This will an 8 week block and is £100 for 8 weeks.
Puppies need to have completed some basic training first (not necessarily with us)

** Training Spaces Available **

We have a couple of competing dog spaces available (or none competing with good skills)
Wednesday 7pm - 1 space (Grade1-4)
Thursday 8.40pm - 2 spaces (Grade 3+)

Both at Leybourne Riding stables, ME19 5HZ with Lisa.

We also have some young dog spaces on a Tuesday evening with Jennifer and competing dogs G3+ on a Wednesday 12pm

Thursday morning 9.30am-11.30am (temporary until Jan)
Friday evening 6.30pm - 9.30pm (from Jan)
Saturday - Time tbc but late morning/early afternoon - ASAP start and permanent
