The Best - not very exotic - Doggy Hotel

The Best - not very exotic - Doggy Hotel The idea is that your beloved pooch can come on holiday (whilst you are away) and enjoy lovely accommodation, great company, good food and inspiring walks.

What we offer at Olde England is doggy holidays and day care as reasonable rates for the discerning pup. Situated in the Kent countryside Olde England Best Doggy Hotel is a detached Grade 2 listed cottage set in an acre of enclosed garden with lots of good sniffs and plenty of great woodland and fields to explore. The hotel has a number of permanent residents (who regularly eat me out of house and

home) so a meet and greet with the pack is recommended before making your booking. Facilities include several dog beds, settees and armchairs and spa bookings can be made through the hotel for dog washing and grooming services. This is sometimes nice for home going preparations. Walkies is twice a day - usually one long and one short which are tailored to the guest's requirements. For the sporting extreme dogs and those who may wish to partake of the Health Clinic package vigorous runs at the Woodland Trust Estate Hucking are provided daily. The garden is open all day on request. Breakfast and dinner are served for you although we recommend that you bring your own supplies to avoid upset tummies. Treats and nice extras are also available if you are not on a strict dietary regime. We do ask that you have your fleas under control and vaccinations up to date please before visiting. Sorry we can't take naughty boys with all their bits - because Spud still has his . . . which also means no ladies in season either . . . unless you would like scruffy Jack Russell cross puppies . . .they would be cute though. I am insured and will be happy to show you my certificate - in return I will ask your hooman to sign a bit of paper so that I can travel you in my car and take you for walkies off lead if possible. Prices are per dog as the spaces are limited. The day care only (hours agreed between 10am to 5pm) rate is £15 and the holiday boarding rate per calendar day/night is £25 + bring your own food and a blanket if you’d like one. Drop off is an agreed time between 10am and 4pm and collection is an agreed time between 10am and 5pm. Early drop off to join us for walkies is at 7.30am sharp and can be arranged if you have stayed with us before.

Just for interest this is what I get up to when I have time! The cats portrait was a commission but I do ceramics for fun so I made myself a piggy bank - you post the coins in through his mouth which is why its wide (and his name is Dave after a legend who belonged to my friend Jackie Weight)

Welcome Ozzie! Another new fuzzy face! Its just too hot to do too much but Ozzie really loves the pool so he's happy! (Although he did stick his tongue out at me whilst I was taking his pic in the bath). We also played "Hunt the Bickie" which Sparty pony joined in too . . . not sure he should eat dog treats but that doesn't stop him!

New boy Duke has come for a taster day (gold star if you can guess his breeds) - and thank goodness it's not as hot especially with his superb fluff! Also staying here at the moment we have back little Teddy the Yorkie (not up for playing today), Snowy Chloe and Brody the Springer (aka tank) who is enjoying his first long holiday. Tidgy is becoming a teenager and giving everyone a hard time . . . especially my poor long suffering (according to him) Waffles.

This handsome lad is Goober who I painted a little while ago but have been rubbish about posting!

What wonderful weather! so playtime then . . . new boy Brody is finding his paws along side special guests (who have been here lots before) Juno, Darcy, Mae and Gracie. I haven't done a group pic for a while so everypawdy had to take a break for me to faff about with my camera. They were really good as I had my long lens on so had to go back a long way to fit everyone in!
