A little bit late but still interesting.
Today is Veteranās Day/Remembrance Day. May we never forget and always be grateful to the veterans and their families who have served our countries! Thank you!! Animals are veterans and war heroes too! The dachshund was a hero of both WW I and WW II. Because of their small size, fantastic ability to dig, and their extremely sensitive sense of smell, they were used to sniff out land mines and search for wounded/fallen soldiers.
