🚨 IMPORTANT NOTICE – EXTREME WEATHER 🚨

With the hot weather forecast this week, the welfare of our patients and clients is our top priority.

If you have an appointment booked with us and would prefer not to travel in the heat, please contact the practice. Where appropriate, we will be happy to rearrange your appointment for a cooler day.

If your pet does need to attend their appointment, please take extra precautions:

☀️ Ensure your vehicle has working air conditioning.
☀️ Where possible, carry your pet from the car to the practice entrance to minimise their exposure to the heat.
☀️ Bring fresh water for your pet during the journey.
☀️ Take extra care with brachycephalic (flat-faced) breeds, such as Bulldogs, Pugs, French Bulldogs and Persian cats, as they are particularly vulnerable to heat-related illness.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any concerns about travelling with your pet during the current weather conditions.

🩺 WELLNESS SCREENINGS 🩺 are suitable for healthy mature cats and dogs. If your pet is showing any signs of illness, or any abnormal behaviour, you should book a
consultation with your vet 🐾

Eligible pets are classed as:
•Cats over 7 years old
•Dogs over 5 years old
•Giant breeds of dog
(Great Dane, Mastiff, St. Bernard,
etc) over 3 years.

This screening includes a physical exam, urine testing, blood pressure measurements and blood testing for all common organ function- related diseases including:
•Kidney disease
•Liver disease
•Diabetes
•Overactive thyroid
