This heart-wrenching photo captures the stark contrast between human cruelty and animal compassion. Milly, the dog on the stretcher, has suffered unimaginable abuse. She was ridiculed, painted, tied up, dragged behind a car, and ultimately sh--o--t. Her ordeal is a testament to the depths of human cruelty.

Yet, amidst this darkness, there is a glimmer of hope. A Border Collie, also a victim of abuse, approaches Milly with tenderness. Despite their own suffering, this compassionate dog stays by Milly's side, offering comfort and support. It's a powerful reminder that even in the face of cruelty, there are beings who show unwavering kindness and solidarity. ❤️

I had 2 IKEA Kallax units ready for the bin but decided to make this dog crate with them instead. There was a metal crate here previously which was such an eyesore that only ever got used when my dog was fed up with kids and wanted some peace. Ideally I wanted to take away the crate completely but I didn't want to take away what he sees as his safe place so decided to make this instead.
There's no lock on it, he loves it as his safe place. 👉 Christine Chenery
