👊🏻 results day in reality 👊🏻

We waited a couple of days to post this, in the hopes that GCSE & A Level results will have sunk in

If you’re celebrating, then congratulations, we’re so excited for you!! 🥳

For those of you who maybe aren’t celebrating, please know that this is just one day out of the rest of your lives and that a piece of paper with some letters on it does not and will never define you 🙌🏻

One of us went all the way through the education system up to a masters. The other left school at 12. We’re polar opposites in terms of results/qualifications, but are thankful every single day that we’re in exactly the same place in life 🫶🏻

The point we’re trying to make is that where there’s a will there’s a way! There are ways and means of achieving your goals in life regardless of your educational background or at which point in your life you go for it

Just chucking up a quick post to say I’ve fallen a few days behind on messages and apologise to those of you waiting on a reply 🙈

At the moment, my books are absolutely filled to the brim, which is a lovely problem to have, but this along with the animals currently in my care being the top priority does sometimes mean my responses are a bit delayed 😅

I’m aiming to get back to everyone tomorrow - thank you all for your patience and understanding 🙏🏻

TOP TIP 💡 if the pavement is too hot for you to hold your hand on it, then it’s too hot for your Dog’s paws! 🐾

Your 4-legged friends should only be travelled in an absolute emergency in this heat ❗️

Please keep your pets safe during the heat wave! 🔥

How can you look out for your pets?
✅ Exercise them as early as possible in the morning, or as late as possible in the evening to allow temperatures to cool off a bit
✅ Have water readily available at all times - keep your bowls and buckets topped up
✅ Know your animals well - if you notice they aren’t themselves or are experiencing symptoms of heat stroke, contact your vet immediately and start trying to cool your pet down
✅ Don’t leave your Dogs or other small pets in hot cars, sheds, or any other small, enclosed/not well ventilated spaces
✅ Keep in mind that some animals will be impacted more by the heat than others (for example, puppies, older dogs, Brachycephalic breeds, etc.)

The temperature is reaching 29°C today 🔥 We’ve been absolutely struggling in this heat and can only imagine how it must feel to our 4-legged friends, particularly with their coats 🥵

Did you know that when your Horse sweats, either through work, the heat or otherwise, they lose important water and salts? 💡

This can lead to your 4-legged friends becoming dehydrated, fatigued, etc. 👎🏻

We feed sloppy, mushy feeds to our Horses in this weather to help replace the fluids they’re losing 🙌🏻

💙 Baileys Horse Feeds 21. Ease & Excel pictured here (not fully soaked yet) and used for those needing some additional weight/maintenance

🧡 We also use Baileys Horse Feeds 8. Meadow Sweet for our fatties in smaller quantities, but in a similar manner (soaked down) 🐷

Let us reintroduce ourselves.. Mr & Mrs Crole-Jenkins!! 💒💍

You might’ve noticed that we dropped off the face of the Earth for a couple of weeks… We tied the knot on Wednesday 9th July, surrounded by our closest family and friends. Look how proud our Maid of Honour and Best Man are here 🥹

We took some time off before and after our wedding and arrived back home yesterday from our mini moon road trip. We’re slowly working our way through all of our messages and emails - thank you all for your patience! 🙈

A jumping with joy moment.. We found out last night that we’ve gotten through to the finals of the Animal Star Awards’ Southwest Region Awards 2025 - we just wanted to pop up a post to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone for the continuous support we receive 🙏🏻

We adore being Pawfect, your friendly local sitters, and it goes without saying that we couldn’t do what we do without all of you. Your support doesn’t go unnoticed and we are sooo grateful 🥰

We’d also like to say a huge well done to everyone nominated and to our fellow finalists. Your nominations are proof of the fantastic services, etc. you selflessly provide for our community 🙌🏻

Before You Clip the Lead On… Please Read This First

I know how much you love your dogs - and I do too! 💛 That’s why I want to gently remind everyone:

Dogs will not suffer from missing a walk or two.
But they can suffer - or even die - from being walked in high heat. ☀️

🌡️ Did you know?
• At just 23°C, the pavement can get hot enough to burn your dog’s paws.
• Dogs can begin to overheat at just 20°C, especially flat-faced breeds like Frenchies, Pugs, and Bulldogs.
• Heatstroke can come on fast - and it can be fatal.

As temperatures rise, I’m prioritising your pets’ safety by swapping outdoor walks for:
✅ Garden toilet breaks
✅ Indoor enrichment for dogs AND cats that go out (snuffle mats, puzzle toys, scent games)
✅ Cool, shaded rest and relaxation

Their paws will thank us, and so will their bodies.

🐾 Safety always comes first-I’d much rather they miss a walk than a heartbeat.
