☀️🐴 HOT WEATHER REMINDER FOR HORSE OWNERS 🐴☀️

With temperatures on the rise, horses can lose significant amounts of salts and electrolytes through sweating.

Replacing these lost electrolytes is important to help support hydration, recovery, and overall wellbeing during hot weather.

💧 Make sure your horse always has access to plenty of fresh, clean water.

✅ Add an electrolyte supplement to water to help replace lost salts.

✅ If your horse already has a salt lick, try giving it a quick wash with a wet sponge each day. This can help keep it fresh and encourage intake when it’s needed most.

🌞 Whenever possible, provide shade during the hottest parts of the day and avoid strenuous exercise in peak temperatures.
