What a week it’s been 😮
The internet trolls are going wild once again. If you’ve followed HM for any length of time, you’ll get used to the cycle of hate that rises and falls like a tide throughout the year.
The horse industry clings to tradition like no other industry. When you challenge that tradition every day, you ruffle some feathers.
I’m pausing our educational posts. They would likely go wild if I started putting them out right now (the algorithm loves the drama), but I’m fiercely protective of my nervous system.
I’m not here to fight. Or to preach or to convince anyone of anything. I’m here to show evidence. Not to impress or change the minds of pros, but to educate owners.
When the energy in this space feels less heavy, the posts will come again.
For now, I want to acknowledge you brave horse owners who have stuck with us through the ups and downs. You are the real change.
I’m in awe of you. Thank you for trusting us with your horses. For putting in the effort to learn. For picking up the rasp when you had no other choice. For doing the daily work required for the more intense rehabs.
So while social media rages on, making up stories and spreading fear (not a single person speaking out against us has actually slowed down to understand what we actually do; they just don’t like how it looks), we keep helping horses.
I spend hours every weekend poring over client hoof photos. Tracking progress. Critiquing my own work. Getting better. Communicating with clients to ensure everything is going well in my absence. If our trim was hurting horses, I would know it by now, and I wouldn’t still be here doing it.
Big love to all my fellow pros and students leading this charge. We press on with love.
