Introducing… The Paw Plan! 🐾

We’re so excited to launch a brand-new service here at The Cheshire Pooch - The Paw Plan!

Does your dog have long nails? Regular nail care is the best way to safely shorten them over time — and now, we’re making it easier (and more affordable) than ever.

With The Paw Plan, your dog will receive four nail trims per month, helping to gradually reduce nail length and keep their paws healthy and comfortable.

Just £15 for the month (normally £5 per trim — so you’re getting one free!)

How it works:

🐾 You book The Paw Plan on the booking system.

🐾 Place ‘The Paw Plan’ on the day you would like your dog’s nail trims to start.

🐾 Your dog receives one nail trim each week on their set daycare day.

🐾 All four trims must be used within the same month.

We don’t just clip the nails — we also use a Dremel (an electric file) to gently smooth and shape them. This helps us get closer to the quick (the vein inside the nail), safely reducing the overall length even further over time.

All nail trims are carried out by a qualified dog groomer, ensuring your dog receives safe, professional care every time.

Did you know?
The more often your dog’s nails are trimmed, the shorter they can safely be made. This is because the quick (the vein inside the nail) gradually recedes with frequent trimming — allowing us to achieve shorter, healthier nails over time.

You can join The Paw Plan for just one month, or continue each month for ongoing nail care — there’s no commitment required.

🚨 Warning for Dog Walkers – Blue-Green Algae in the Canal 🚨

We’ve been made aware that blue-green algae has been spotted in parts of the canal. Please take extra care if you’re walking your dogs near the water.

🐾 Blue-green algae is extremely toxic to dogs (and other animals). Even a small amount can cause serious illness or be fatal if ingested.

⚠️ Please:

Keep dogs on the lead near the canal.

Don’t let them swim or drink from the water.

Watch for signs of illness such as vomiting, drooling, or lethargy — and contact a vet immediately if you’re concerned.

Let’s all help keep our pets safe by spreading the word. 💙
