THEFT ALERT...

Overnight there has been a break in and theft at a location in Adlington. The offenders have stolen a dark green Yamaha Grizzly 350cc quad bike (photo below). As with any machinery theft, stealing quads like this have a huge impact of farming operations. These are vital tools for farmers to tend to their animals and crops. This mindless and selfish act of theft is despicable. We'd urge everyone to review their security measures. As we have reported in the past we are great advocate of layering your security measures:

🔏 Use strong locks and security bars across shed/garage/workshop entrances
📹 Consider installing CCTV camera - these are a also a good deterrent
⛓️ Use robust chains and ground anchors
🗺️ Use GPS tracking devices
🖋️ Use property marking kits for identification

Along with colleagues from Macclesfield Local Policing Unit an investigation into this theft is now underway. Please be vigilant and if you see this bike being used or have any information as to its whereabouts please contact us on 101 and quote IML2088038
