I am a recently retired District Nurse and have always had dogs in my life. I train and compete in both Heelwork to Music and Flyball and have been lucky enough to qualify and compete in the Heelwork to Music Finals competition at Crufts. Since my retirement I have also begun learning herding skills with my younger collie. I am fully insured; DBS checked and hold an animal first aid certificate

New recruit 2: Nell is a Barak (Bulgarian Hound). She was found on the road in Bulgaria and has recently had her front leg amputated before joining her new family here in the Uk last week. It was our first walk out together today so we stayed close to home and she coped very well ❤

Ted the Airedale thinks that having to go back on his lead is really a game of catch me if you can so we are re thinking his recall tactics. Last week I spent time rewarding him for letting me touch and tug his collar and then introduced the word collar to him.. This week we have moved the goal post a little by calling the word collar while he is distracted.........think he did ok. Good boy Ted
