Rays and Cora!

Me and Raya headed out this morning for a 121 with our lovely friend Cora

Cora started training with me as a young pup during classes and has come so far but since turning into a teenager and having her first season we've become a little bit environmentally focused resulting in some cheeky recalls!

We worked on disengagement for the environment, re-engaging focus onto our owners, long line management, reducing the number of recalls and adding in alternative communication, asking for less and rewarding more self chosen behaviours to improve her individual choice making process!

Cora's owners are aware that Raya has been bitten by a golden spaniel (not Cora) so we slowly introduced Raya to Cora to build rayas confidence and we went for a lovely potter and talk with the both of them!

Thank you to Cora for being so kind to Raya and building her confidence! Raya gladly has not associated her negative interaction with golden spaniels and was very happy to calmly interact and walk with Cora ❤️❤️

Canine First Aid Course with RVN Rachel Bean

Hi all, I’ve organised for Rachel Bean to attend Norfolk on Saturday 18th July 2026 to run her amazing course on Canine First Aid Course

This course will be held at Great Dunham Village Hall, PE32 2LJ

This Course is taught by Qualified Veterinary Nurse Rachel Bean RVN

Not your average Canine First Aid Course, its very comprehensive, interactive, emotional and thought provoking.

The OFQUAL Level 3 Qualification is £160pp - valid for 3 years.

You can attend without gaining the Qualification, this is £70 per person

The Workshop is 7 hours approximately

iPET Network are proud to have developed the first regulated Qualification in Canine Emergency First Aid in the Canine and Feline Sector The qualification is an excellent balance of theoretical and practical learning to ensure Candidates have the knowledge required should they ever be faced with an emergency first aid situation.

Want freedom with your highly prey drive dog? Look no further pddt is who you need!

Raya is a highly prey driven dog, her self control around prey used to be next to nothings no thinking space just see and chase! Over the last 2 years we have worked very hard on her self control around prey to the point where she is having time off her longline and making excellent choices!

This morning a pheasant flushed out of the fields right next to her and her choice was to go from a stand to a sit and watch and then disengages after watching to a hunt of treats in the long grass!

Realistically if you want to train using force free methods it will take time, preservation and practice! There are quick easy fixes but they destroy your relationship with your dog whereas me and Raya hunt together as a team in safe ways that doesn't involve her getting into danger and keeps the wildlife stress free!

Great day teaching Hoopers!

Coopers enjoying her 121 sequencing exercise!

Dilly and Odin enjoyed their sequencing workshop together!

Cancelled course running as the breeze dropped and temps rose above my working limit so me and Raya went for a walk, had a swim, had some great fun and collected our new timers!

Snack time for us all and then admin in the sun in the garden if my laptop doesn't overheat 💨💖💦💖

Yesterday evening we started a new block of puppy classes and follow on! Lots of new pups and teenagers learning their foundations to training and life
