Otis decided it would be a great idea to rear at Blue over the gate on Saturday morning (20 minutes before my pole clinic was due to start 🙈) and get his leg stuck. An emergency vet call later he was stitched up and bandaged brilliantly by Laura from Seadown Equine. Today he had his first bandage change and it's looking pretty good. Fingers crossed it continues to heal well 🤞

This is classic Blue. I want to be in front - gets in front - two strides, actually I've changed my mind, I don't want to be in front - Prince goes in front - Blue leaps about behind because he wants to go in front.... And so on, for ever 😂😂

For the Connor fans out there - we were lucky to be able to visit him yesterday evening. He is looking fabulous and obviously very happy in his little herd, leading them all astray no doubt 😂

It was heartbreaking for all of us when Connor could no longer event, so it was really wonderful to see him so happily retired. I don't think there will ever be a horse who loves eventing more than Connor did 🥰

Spot's first ever dressage test today and I'm super pleased with how she's coming on and proud of Peggy's supportive and sympathetic riding. They got a really nice score of 67.8% in Preliminary 2 and then a lovely clear round SJ for their combined training class. The 70-80 SJ got a bit messier, purely because she's super keen and needs a stronger and more balanced canter still. She popped over the spooky wall fillers no problem which I was really pleased to see. Excited to see her progress.

Elton had his first dressage outing with Lucy Orman , doing a lovely test especially after Lucy had a migraine yesterday. Lots to look forward to for them too.

Not the finished article but we are finally cracking the left to right changes 😃 right to left we've had for a while but this is exciting progress this week.

I love this horse, in case anyone didn't already know 🥰

Elton aka Cotswold Choir Boy doing the yard proud at The New Forest show yesterday. The judge said 'he's everything a competition horse should be' and he is, but also so much more than that to us 🥰
