As the Hibernia Young Horse Challenge reaches the halfway stage, there’s still plenty of opportunity for riders to secure their place in the finals, which this year will be held as the feature classes on the Sunday of the Meadows Spring Championships.
To allow as many competitors the opportunity to qualify the same horse and rider combination must now only compete on two separate occasions.
Qualifiers will take place on Saturday 18th April and Friday 24th April at The Meadows.
Classes are tailored to showcase each age group:
• 4-year-old horses will qualify from the90cm classes
• 5-year-old horses from the 1m classes
• 6-year-old horses from the 1.10m classes
• 7-year-old horses from the 1.20m classes
With a total prize fund of £3,000 for the Hibernia Young Horse Challenge, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience, compete at a high level and be part of a championship final.
