CHELTENHAM DAY!!! 🎉🐎

What a day for our little team, getting to Cheltenham has always been a dream and on Friday that became reality! Prince Imperial tried his heart out for us and gave the team and owners a great day out!

We hope that we get lots more enjoyable days out like this, our team work so hard and deserve it! Thanks to everyone that helped get Frank ready for Cheltenham!

A few of our horses were due their routine dental visits, Hettie from Wright & Morten Equine Clinic did a fabulous job with the boys today!

Dental checks help keep our horses in tip top condition and iron out any issues before they become serious, we are really lucky to have such great vets at Wright & Morton to help look after our horse 😊

MEET THE TEAM 🐎

Sean - Conditional Jockey

At Jake Coulson Racing Sean is a massive part of our team, we would be lost without him! Sean rides out multiple lots everyday, liaising with Jake on how the horses are feeling and going, taking horses to and riding at the races and just an all round mood booster on the yard! Sean is often found when he’s not working either running crazy miles or eating cottage cheese and tuna 😆

Sean is our longest reigning full time member of staff for over 3 years!

Red Hugh is Sean’s favourite horse, he has done a lot of work with Hughy since he arrived. Sean loves his work ethic and thinks he’s an all round dude!

From a young age Sean has always wanted to be a jockey, he often would watch jockey cam videos at the age of 15, he then applied to racing school and went straight into work on a racing yard and has continued into his professional racing career!

Sean’s favourite moment at Jake Coulson Racing so far has been his first professional ride on Up There For Thinking at Leicester and coming 5th 💪🏻

We all absolutely adore Sean on the yard and really appreciate all this help with the horses and the team! He works extremely hard, we are so lucky to have such a knowledgeable and brave rider on the yard! We wish Sean all the luck with his future rides and career!

We are really lucky to be able to use this field from a local farmer, it’s great for the horses fitness due to its steepness 💪🏻
