Arthritis isn’t just an old dog problem. Just like people, dogs can develop joint pain at any age.
Younger dogs may be at risk due to:
✅ Being overweight
✅ Hip or elbow dysplasia
✅ Injuries like fractures or cruciate ligament tears
✅ High-impact activities (e.g. flyball, agility)
✅ Breed type - especially large or giant breeds
To help you spot the signs early, we recommend the Dog Mobility App (DogMA) - a free, easy to use, scientifically validated tool from the University of Liverpool that helps you assess your dog’s mobility at home. 📲 Download DogMA today: bit.ly/4niMi9G Join the pack -because

On Sunday 26th October, the clocks go back one hour as
British Summer Time ends. While this gives us an extra hour in bed, it can disrupt our pets’ routines, especially feeding and walking schedules.
Animals thrive on consistency, so sudden changes can cause
confusion or anxiety. To help ease the transition, consider
gradually adjusting your pet’s routine over a few days leading
up to the change. A little preparation can make a big
difference in keeping your furry friends happy and settled.
Have you noticed your pet reacting to the time change
before? Share your stories or tips below - we’d love to hear
them! 🐶🐱🕒

Please bare with us this morning, there has been an accident on the roundabout just outside the ecopark stopping staff getting into the practice. We have diverted our phone lines to our Craven Arms branch in the meantime.

Trick or treat - top tips for dogs
People dressed in costumes and unexpected knocks at the door can be confusing and scary for many dogs. Here are our Halloween top tips:
🎃 Be careful when opening the door so your dog doesn’t accidentally
escape
👻 If your dog is really worried, consider a sign saying ‘nervous dog,
please do not knock’. You could still leave treats out for children to
help themselves
🍬 Keep human sweets and chocolate safely out of your dog’s reach
🧛 Keep dressing up for humans only. Costumes can feel restrictive
and prevent your pet from communicating their discomfort
