☀️🐶 PLEASE KEEP YOUR DOGS SAFE IN THIS HEAT 🐶☀️
With temperatures rising, even a short walk or a few minutes in a car can become extremely dangerous for our dogs. Dogs can overheat very quickly and heatstroke can sadly be fatal. 💔
🚫 Please avoid walking dogs during the hottest parts of the day
🐾 Pavements can burn paws in seconds
🚗 Never leave dogs in cars — even with windows open
💧 Make sure they always have access to fresh water and shade
Signs of heatstroke can include:
• Excessive panting
• Drooling
• Weakness or wobbling
• Vomiting
• Rapid heartbeat
• Collapse or disorientation
If your dog seems too hot:
❄️ Move them somewhere cool immediately
💦 Use cool water (not ice cold)
📞 Contact your vet as soon as possible
Early morning or late evening walks are safest during hot weather. Please think twice before taking dogs out in the heat — if it feels too hot for you, it’s even hotter for them. ❤️
