Remember to keep an eye out for hedgehogs this Bonfire Night!

Piles of logs and leaves look like cosy beds to these spiky critters. Make sure you check your bonfire thoroughly before lighting it - or consider a more wildlife-friendly celebration instead.

🐾🐱 𝗔 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 🐱🐾

As many of you know, when you’re away and your cats are spending more time indoors, their environment plays a big part in keeping them happy and healthy.

One small but important thing I like to remind everyone of is to 𝘂𝗻𝗽𝗹𝘂𝗴 𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 before you head off.
Even natural or essential-oil-based diffusers can release particles that irritate a cat’s sensitive airways — especially when there’s less fresh air circulating in the house while you’re away.

Cats have a much stronger sense of smell than we do, and what’s pleasant for us can sometimes be overwhelming (or even harmful) for them. Plus, if no humans are home, there’s really 𝗻𝗼 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 — your cat will appreciate the fresher, scent-free air!

🌿 Don’t Forget About the Wildlife While You’re Away! 🐦🦔

As the days get shorter and temperatures drop, our local wildlife start working hard to prepare for winter. Many birds, hedgehogs, and other small animals rely on regular feeding spots to find the food they need to survive the colder months.

If you usually feed the wildlife in your garden — whether it’s topping up bird feeders, leaving out water, or providing a few tasty snacks for hedgehogs — please remember to let me know before you go away. I’m more than happy to keep their routine going while you’re gone! 💚

When feeding suddenly stops, especially in autumn and winter, wildlife can quickly struggle to find another safe and reliable food source. A few days without food can make a big difference during the harsher months.

So when you’re booking your pet sitting, don’t forget your wild visitors too — together we can make sure all your furry, feathered and spiky friends are cared for! 🐾🍂

Step 3: Stare at the bubbles 👀
Step 4: Carefully taste the bubbles 👅
Step 5: Still very confused 😂🤗

I have recently been told about a new heated 32ft indoor swimming pool for your pooches, based in Kirmington (Nr Humberside Airport)!

Perfect if your dog loves swimming or if you want to introduce your dog to water in a controlled way.
Older dogs will benefit from the warmer water and being indoors - no need to worry about the weather! 🌞🌧️
