A lovely little before and after image!

Nox was looking a little wonky yesterday πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’« in the first image, you can quite clearly see the right curve through the lumbar spine, the ribcage positioned slightly to the left, and a significant right caudal pelvic tilt; if you look at Nox's hips, you may notice that the right side is positioned further back than the left.

After a combined McTimoney and physio treatment, Nox's posture is looking a lot more balanced πŸ‘Œ

Quick message for Tilly's clients!

Hi all - I have recently got a new phone and after transferring everything over, I appear to have lost recent WhatsApp messages that didn't back up. So, if you have tried to contact me over the last few days and haven't heard back, I am not ignoring you I promise! πŸ˜„ please let me know and get in touch if you are waiting on anything.

Something a little different, but incredibly interesting (to those of us fascinated by anatomy and physiology at least πŸ€“)

On a trip up to Edinburgh this week, I visited the National Museum of Scotland where the current 'Giants' exhibition is on - showcasing amazing prehistoric animals.

And what do you know - this Smilodon (more commonly referred to as a saber-toothed cat, probably around the size of a lion) shows evidence of Hip Dysplasia in its fossilised skeleton... how amazing is that! To know that a common pathology we see today in our domestic animals, was also found in a mammal that lived over 10,000 years ago, is mind boggling and fascinating.

Whilst I doubt that Smilodon had access to a Vet Physio πŸ€” it obviously found ways to adapt and continue to survive. Luckily, we now know a lot about Hip Dysplasia, and Veterinary Physiotherapy can help you to manage this condition in your pets πŸ˜ƒ

A small selection of some of our equine clients seen earlier this week - of course there were more, but remembering to take pictures of everyone appears to be the hardest part of this job 🀣

Louis - Sweet old boy treated for hock OA and the compensatory issues that come with it.

Bertie - Typical Arab, loves to prance around and show off. Treated for general maintenance to support his ridden work.

Drummer - The BFG Shire Horse, our biggest client! Treated with full body massage to support the lymphatic system as part of his CPL management plan.

Look forward to seeing you all again in a few weeks πŸ’™

Not physio related, but sharing on behalf of a family member!

Since we have lots of wonderful doggy people following us, we hope this may reach the right person. Lovely patterdale Lucy is tentatively looking for a new family, due to owner health issues.

"Sadly I’m having to rehome my little patterdale Lucy through absolutely no fault of her own. She is turning 10 yrs old this year but is still fit as a fiddle and loves her walks and play time. Lucy is an absolute peach and I’d love her to be an only dog so she gets all the attention she deserves in life. Lucy is a people person, preferring to be with her hooman over four legged friends. She would be a fantastic companion to a retired couple/person who has the time and energy to enjoy life with her, or someone looking for a lap fog who also loves to get out and about. Being a patterdale she has strong prey drive so that’s something to be aware of, however she is brilliant off the lead and comes to call (treats help!) Lucy wanted me to add she is proud of her pearly white teef and defending of the garden, sunbathing is her fav hobby! She is not a fan of nail trimming or having her ears tickled, oh but belly scritches are best invention everπŸ˜† Lucy does like to sleep with her hooman but is happy sleeping anywhere if she has her duvet to snuggle up in (yes she has her own duvet).
Favourite toys, food bowl, harness, winter coat, towel (she’s a fan of rolling in fox poopπŸ™„) collar and lead, oh and duvet will all go with her. I would like whoever adopts Lucy to have a couple of meetings first or have her for some sleepovers to make sure all parties are happyπŸ˜‡ and would love to keep in touch as this decision has not been made lightly. Thank you for reading"

If you or someone you know may be looking for their next four legged friend, please drop us a message so we can put you in touch.
